Summer Camp Music Festival In Photos

Summer Camp Music Festival is a special place, especially for Sasha. It was his very first music festival and he skipped his senior prom to go to it. It’s probably for the best anyways – prom is so overrated! For the next four summers, he returned to Three Sisters Park every Memorial Day weekend and added quite a few other festivals to the mix. After missing the festival for several years while we were living in China and Bali, he finally returned and brought me along to volunteer last year. This year he got accepted as a Camp Counselor, scoring us free tickets and himself a press pass to document the magic throughout the weekend.

This year SCamp certainly did not disappoint. As a second timer, I knew my way around and knew what to expect. Since I wasn’t volunteering, I had all the free time to see whatever music I wanted.  It was magical, infuriating, and hilarious all at once. There was the massive storm on Friday that made life difficult because of all the mud it created. It forced you to earn the live music but made it that much sweeter. The mud struggle was real! Things cleared up on Saturday, though, and the rest of the weekend was perfect – a bit squishy, but perfect.

We’re still processing the weekend. Hopefully, in the next week or two, we will have some posts with stories, reviews of the music, maybe a listicle or two. But for now, we’ve put together this photo essay so we can share our visual experience with you. Enjoy!
